On the Friday of the last report of the season the forecast suggests that the temperature on the summit will be above freezing throughout the forecast period (up to Friday the 2nd of May), and that snow or ice is not likely in the near future.
As spring draws towards summer wintry conditions will become less and less likely, but low temperatures are still possible, continuing to feel cold at times especially in strong winds, or when getting wet in the rain.
